These programs work well for the purchase of high quality, youthful cows as well as retaining this type of cow from the 1 Year Cow Program loan. Home raised livestock are eligible to be financed under this program.
- Maximum amount financed on bred heifers, bred cows and cow/calf pairs is influenced by several factors. Please discuss this issue with a CFC representative when you are ready to buy.
- If you are purchasing cow/calf pairs, calves may be placed on a feeder loan. Please discuss this with your market representative for more information.
- All CFC cows or pairs purchased through an approved market are to be branded with an approved brand prior to leaving the market. (There are no exceptions to branding.)
- Offspring of CFC cows are to be branded on an annual basis, with a CFC approved brand, prior to the pairs being turned out to pasture. (There are no exceptions to branding.)
